Installing Preware on the HP TouchPad is Easy
If Preware continually asks you about file associations on every single launch, even after you have answered Yes to the questions prewafe asks, then you may have a damaged file association table and will need to run the Emergency MimeTable Reset tool prewqre then reboot to repair it.

Fixed list rendering on TouchPad courtesy of chpwn. The install touchlad is quite similar on a PC or Linux but since I hacked mine with a Mac, this is what you get from me. Preware will close automatically after the update is complete. Check if package dates are actually dates.
Launch the Preware app you installed earlier and allow the packages to update. Have you tried prewafe standard error-fixing steps yet?

This will reveal a hidden app that has a slider touvhpad enable Developer Mode and set a password if you want to on this mode. The device is detected no problem by the installer, and if I disconnect, that is picked up.
Then launch Preware and it will notify you an update is available! Hope Jason can get around to releasing a official update. Style updates for pre3 screen size. You now have access to hundreds prewade patches and homebrew creations, and hopefully a speedier tablet. But finally last night I did install Preware and the experience was much less painful than I had expected.
